My Daughter Made Me a Dating Profile Without Asking. My First Date Showed Up on a Tractor

My name is Wendell Pruitt. I’m 66 years old, and I raise Hereford cattle on a hundred and eighty acres outside Columbia, Tennessee.

My wife, Bonnie, passed four years ago. Stroke. No warning at all.

Since then, my life has been pretty simple. Cattle in the morning. Fence work in the afternoon. Supper in front of the evening news. Church on Sunday, and lunch at the Cracker Barrel with the same three widowers every week.

My daughter, Kayla, decided that wasn’t good enough.

Last spring, she came home for Easter, borrowed my phone “to look something up,” and handed it back to me an hour later with a big grin on her face.
